After playing Beat Saber the lag returned, although to a lesser degree. When I launched it there looked to be no latency, so I checked some performance graphs in Steam VR and it was hovering around 3.2ms which is pretty good, and with very little jumps. I decided to run beat saber by itself without SteamVR or the Oculus app open. I noticed that with just steamVR and the Oculus software open my computer is experiencing the same amount of lag as the headset. I also turned Pause VR when computer is locked off.

I am also going to change the Overlay render quality to medium in SteamVR to see if that adds any performance. I also made sure motion smoothing is on for all software. Now my next test is setting the bitrate to 250mbps, and headset, along with all software at 72hz, and I will set steam qVR's resolution at 3616 x1840 to match that in the Oculus Software. Beat saber is running on the lowest settings possible to set in app. I also noticed the performance head chart was going crazy, with it sometimes reading negative numbers. When I launched beat saber though, I found that the frame rates were constantly going from 90 to 30 then back up to 90 then down to 50 then up then down.

Superhot ran pretty well, a few frame dips but it held right around 90 with some drops to 85, so not too bad. After doing that and setting all of my settings to default I tried playing 2 games, Superhot and Beat Saber. First I uninstalled and reinstalled the Oculus software and Steam VR. In most games some slight stutter isn't too much of a problem, but when playing beat saber it is nearly impossible to get through any levels because the headset stutters and I miss a block. I do not think it is my system, Steam VR's performance test had it in the best area ( As of writing I did that test a few weeks ago ) and I thought that it would work. My Specs are, i7-9700k - Base clock, Aorus Z390 Pro Wifi, 2 1Tb Nvme SSDs, and a EVGA RTX 2070 XC. I have turned all of my settings to the lowest possible resolution to try and push stable framerates but nearly nothing has changed. I have also tried setting the Ocvserver to realtime priority with no difference in results. I have tried changing nearly every setting in Steam VR and in the Oculus Desktop software. Games show no lag on screen on my computer, but lag in the headset. Currently I am using the Party Link Cable to connect to my Computer, with it plugged into a USB 3.1 Port on my motherboard. The Rift Menus and Steam VR itself are working fine with no lag, but once I enter any of my Steam VR Games, so Beat Saber or Boneworks for example, I get lots of lag, and sometimes The games straight up crash. Hey, so I have been experiencing tons of lag when playing Steam VR Games with my new Quest 2.
